Which Course First?


The Roast Profiling & Cupping course is by far one of our most popular courses. It’s a great option for a wide range of folks, from those who are just beginning to toy around with the idea of roasting coffee, to those who have been in the roasting business for a while, but want to take it to the next level! We put a major emphases on cupping in this course–as the title suggests.

Believe it or not, cupping is one of the most important aspects of the roasting process. Stellar cupping skills can help you determine which green coffees to purchase and how to roast those coffees. And once you’ve nailed those skills, you’re pretty much good to go! In this course, we also address other great topics such as green coffee defects, marketing & developing a business plan, purchasing a roaster, and roasting theory.
