Boot Coffee Campus graduates have founded and shaped some of the most innovative coffee ventures in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. We specialize in SCA certification and our own curriculum, built for the next generation of coffee professionals and entrepreneurs.

We are always looking for the right people. Whether you are just starting your coffee journey or bringing serious expertise to the table, there is a place for you here. For the right people, there is real room to grow together with Boot Coffee Campus.

Our lab and home base is in San Rafael, CA. Courses run in San Rafael and across the SF Bay Area.

Paid

Trainers & Facilitators

We are building a roster of skilled coffee professionals to deliver workshops, tastings, and certification courses at Boot Coffee Campus. This is an open call. If you are serious about your craft and know how to bring others into it, we want to hear from you.

We are specifically looking for:

  • Latte art and espresso specialists
  • Brewing specialists
  • Coffee Roasters
  • Coffee cuppers
  • Trainers with unique skills and perspectives. If you have something worth teaching, let’s build something together
  • Coffee enthusiast workshop leaders (deliver a pre-built curriculum)
  • Train the trainer candidates if you have the passion and the foundation, Boot has its own trainer development programme

Who We Are Looking For
Someone who knows their craft and can hold a room. Technical ability matters here, but so does personality. Our students are future entrepreneurs and passionate beginners. They need to leave feeling capable and inspired.

  • Independent. Boot will onboard you, then you own your sessions

Course credits & paid

Event Coordinator Internship

Boot Coffee Campus runs community events, workshops, and activations. We need sharp, organised people to own the logistics from first email to final debrief. You will also brief and manage on-the-day volunteers. This is real coordinator work, not assistant work.

What You Get

  • Class credits earned per hour worked during actual events and active project work. Preparation, training sessions, and planning meetings do not qualify
  • Access to Boot Coffee Campus’s award-winning coffees at every event
  • Letter of recommendation after three completed events
  • Named in Boot event collateral and communications
  • A real event coordinator credit on your CV not a line that says ‘helped with’
  • Growth opportunities. strong coordinators have a path toward facilitation, training roles, and future employment at Boot Coffee Campus

 

Note: If credits are applied toward SCA-affiliated courses, SCA certification fees remain your responsibility.

 

Who We Are Looking For

  • Organised and proactive. you see problems before they happen
  • Independent. Boot sets the vision, you own the execution
  • A clear communicator with vendors, volunteers, and Boot
  • Reliable. Events have hard deadlines. Almost ready is not ready
  • Warm and calm under pressure. Boot events are fun, even when things shift

Unpaid

Course Support Volunteers

This is where many Boot Coffee Campus journeys begin. You assist during courses: setup, reset, participant support and learn by being inside a live professional training environment. Boot trains you for the role. Repeat appearances are strongly preferred. The more you show up, the more you learn.

Who We Are Looking For

You do not need deep coffee knowledge yet. Boot will teach you what you need for the role.

What you do need:

  • Reliability. Show up when you say you will, every time
  • Warmth and energy. You make participants feel welcome the moment they walk in
  • Genuine interest in coffee and hospitality
  • Commitment. If you say yes, you mean it
  • Talkers without follow-through need not apply

Course Credits

Content & Media Internship

Boot Coffee Campus needs one person to own our visual content and social presence. You will shoot and edit from events and day-to-day campus life, and manage our channels end to end. Content and publishing are one workflow. We are not looking for a committee.

 

What You Get

  • Class credits earned per hour worked during actual shoots, events, and active project work. Preparation and planning time does not qualify
  • Full portfolio rights to everything you produce, with Boot credit and tagging across all channels
  • Access to Boot Coffee Campus’s award-winning coffees at every shoot and event
  • A hospitality brand with a visually compelling, award-winning product behind it
  • Letter of recommendation after a qualifying period
  • Growth opportunities — the right person grows with Boot Coffee Campus, including future employment as we scale
  • Successful candidates will be recommended to Boot Coffee Campus’s network of coffee roasters and cafe entrepreneurs as a trusted content and media partner.

 

Who We Are Looking For

  • Comfortable behind a camera and confident on social media
  • Self-directed, creative and consistent.
  • Genuine curiosity about specialty coffee. You are shooting a craft product made by serious people. That should excite you
  • Reliable. Content has a rhythm. Showing up once and disappearing does not work here
