The course provides solid hands-on training on various roasting systems and there will be sufficient opportunity to put your roasting profiles to the test during our cupping sessions. The course also provides an excellent opportunity to refine your tasting skills and to learn about the design of quality protocols, from a theoretical as well as from a practical point of view. We allow for sufficient one-one-one interaction with the lead trainers, Marcus Young and Willem Boot, who have combined more than 30 years of experience. Take your coffee skills to the next level. ROASTING LAB PRO is our intensive course for coffee professionals. ROASTING LAB PRO immerses you in a series of hands-on training exercises. Among others, this is what you’ll learn:

• Analyze fundamentals of heat transfer and roasting dynamics
• Create roasting profiles and analyze the results
• Develop roasting strategies for optimum flavor
• Study the relationship between processing and roasting style
• Refine your tasting skills to identify distinct roasting defects
• Prepare for the launch or expansion of your coffee roasting business
To prepare for ROASTING LAB PRO, you can sign up for the (optional) 1-day PRIMER course which will allow you to refresh your coffee know-how and learn about elementary techniques of cupping and roasting through a series of lectures and exercises. The PRIMER starts at 9.30am and ends at 4:30pm. To add the PRIMER, sign up for the COMBO course.
