Q Grader Calibration

Q Graders must calibrate every three years to maintain their certification and ensure their ability to accurately assess coffee quality. This calibration involves testing their skills based on experience, knowledge, and the standards learned during Q training. Participation in calibration is mandatory for all active Q Graders. The process includes three cupping flights, each with six coffee samples showcasing distinct attributes. These sessions cover Washed Milds, Naturals, and either African or Asian coffees. To renew their certification, Q Graders must pass two out of the three flights. Upon passing, their certification is extended for another 36 months from the calibration date.
