The course provides a solid introduction to roasting, both from a theoretical as well as from a practical point of view. As with all our courses, we allow for sufficient one-on-one interaction with the lead-trainers. This single course is also specifically designed for coffee professionals and enthusiasts who wish to become SCA certified. Marcus Young and Willem Boot will personally share with you their extensive knowledge; from roasting techniques of exotic coffees like his award-winning Geisha to experience operating roasting companies.
Foundations gives a basic understanding of the roasting process, including the roast cycle and how to control sensory aspects of the coffee by roasting light or dark.
